Chiropractic Adjustment is a process in which the doctor of chiropractic applies a small amount of force into a spine or extremity joint to improve a joint fixation or restriction (often called a subluxation). This joint fixation is a decrease in motion that does not allow the joint to move smoothly. When this occurs, common complaints include pain and soreness local to the area.
